Wineries, breweries, distilleries
It’s no secret that northern Virginia is making a place for itself when it comes to craft beer, wine and spirits. If you’re looking for a place to spend all afternoon with the family, look just a few miles south to Vanish Farmwoods Brewery or Barnhouse Brewery. Go where the locals go and visit Loudoun Brewing Company. Fancy cider instead? Check out Wild Hare Hard Cider located in a circa 1840 log cabin. There are certainly no shortage of wineries, some of our favorites include Zephaniah Farm & Winery, Casanel Vineyards, Stone Tower Winery, or the chic Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek. The great outdoors
Any visit to the area requires some time immersing yourself in the scenery. Harper’s Ferry is just a short drive away where you’ll find a day’s worth to do including- sightseeing, a hike up Loudoun Heights, a lazy afternoon tubing down the river and an evening catching the sunset over the mountains at Harper’s Ferry Brewing. Scope out one of the many Appalachian Trail entrances, or find your new favorite fishing spot right on the Estate. Drive 3 short miles across the river and land at the Point of Rocks entry to the C&O Canal. Maybe you’ll hop on your bike and cruise down the W&OD trail.
